I bought this to install eye loops on my kayak. I am used to Rivet guns cutting the excess shaft piece off cleanly when I squeeze the grip. This couldnt cut kayak aluminum deck rivets cleanly, it leaves about a quarter inch jagged piece. I will have to buy another brand. This will probably work on smaller or thinner rivets, but not for kayak rivets.

This is an excellent product. It is difficult to find quality hand tools that are manually operated. This tool is great and I am unaware of a comparable product offered by another source. There are many economical (i.e., cheap) riveters available from other sources but if you want a quality product this is it. Many of the economical riveters have great difficulty “popping” 1/8″ steel rivets. This one does the job. Of course, you have to “grip” it.

I really like this rivet gun. Works great and has different sized heads. Also is very tough, could be used as a hammer.
