I bought a slightly smaller version of this at Walmart for less than $20. It’s perfect for me at work but not durable enough for my husband’s construction projects.

You can get the 24 piece version from Sears (with poor reviews) for $20, $10 less than Amazon’s price.

Strange how you can’t find any mention of these kits on the KR Tools website.

I bought this for a 2009 christmas gift and the box is broken so I will be keeping it for myself… many of the tools can only store on the outside of the box in a slot… meaning you cannot carry the tools anyway but flat.

I bought this tool kit for my son to take with him when he moved back to school. We used it throughout the day as we moved him and his friends into their house. A new neighbor even came over to borrow the hammer. Everything was quality with the exception of the knife/blade. It was difficult to use and ended up breaking. All of the other items were useful and will probably last throughout his college years and beyond. The small compartment filled with assorted nails, hooks, etc. proved to come in handy as well. Definately a good starter kit.

I received this as a gift a few weeks ago and it’s been an essential part of my apartment ever since. Besides some of the expected basics–a hammer, scissors, pliers, etc–there’s also picture hangers, a leveler, and a measuring tape. They’ve all come in handy and it’s great to not have to scramble to find those items at a crucial moment.

What’s more, the set is compact, durable, and has an easy no-nonsense organization. If you need a simple toolkit that gives you the basics (and more!) than this is the one for you. I recommend it without reservation.

I have not opened this set but from appearance it looks to be more than what I was expecting to get for the price. It is really heavier than I expected which is not a bad thing and is full of many useful things that I find myself looking for around the house often. I purchased this for my nephew who just moved into his own home but am now considering purchasing another set for myself.
